0-12 Months (S) is 4¾″ (12 cm) wide laid flat and 7″ (18 cm) tall with the pom-pom; 1-4 Years (M) is 5½″ (14 cm) wide and 7⅞″ (20 cm) tall. The cotton knit stretches to fit. Between sizes, or for room to grow, pick the larger one. A baby shower gift? 0-12 Months.
Will it fit a newborn?
Yes — 0-12 Months is made for newborns up to about a year. On a tiny newborn it sits a little roomy, with room to grow into over the first winter.
How long can the name be?
Up to 10 characters in one line across the front. Names up to 6 letters look best on 0-12 Months and up to 8 on 1-4 Years — longer names are stitched a little smaller to fit.

How do I wash it?
Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, gently squeeze out the water and lay it flat to dry, then fluff the pom-pom. Don’t bleach, wring or tumble dry it, and don’t iron over the embroidery.
