Baby's First Christmas Gifts
Personalized baby’s first Christmas gifts, each made with their name: a knit sweater for the photos, a stocking for the mantel and keepsakes to keep long after.
Their name,on their first Christmas.
For the Christmas photos. The name sweater is chunky cotton knit with their name (up to 10 letters) chain-stitched across the chest in raised yarn, in 17 colors including red and Christmas green, and sizes from 0–3M to 5T (chest 12¼″ to 19¼″, 31 to 49 cm, laid flat). Add a Christmas tree or snowflake after the name, or a Christmas design above it, at no extra cost. Order the size they will wear on December 25, not the size they wear today; if they are between sizes, size up.
For the mantel, every year. The cable-knit Christmas stocking is about 18″ (46 cm) long with their name (up to 12 characters) embroidered on the cuff, in red, green, ivory, beige or gray. Order one for every name in the family so theirs hangs in the row from the first year on.
Hats for the family. The pom-pom baby hat has their name (up to 10 characters) hand-stitched across the cuff, in 0–12 months or 1–4 years, with a free little Christmas tree or snowflake; it uses the same yarns and colors as the sweater and the knit blanket. The embroidered beanie comes in baby (heads 13–15½″, 34–40 cm), kid and adult sizes, with up to 12 characters each, so parents and siblings can match.
Keepsakes for later. The knit name blanket is 30″ × 40″ (76 × 102 cm), with one name or a name and birth date in 73 fonts; the teddy bear blanket weaves their name and a second line, such as the year, into 100% cotton, from 52″ × 37″ to 80″ × 60″. The wooden animal name puzzle (1 to 15 letters) and peg name puzzle (up to 9 letters) can carry a message of up to 60 characters engraved on the back. For more ideas, see our first Christmas gift guide.
Good toknow.
What should you buy a baby for their first Christmas?
Something with their name that the family will use again: a name sweater for the Christmas photos, a stocking that comes out every December, or a name blanket or wooden name puzzle to keep. Babies do not need much; the gift is often as much for the parents as for the baby.
What are the best keepsakes from a baby’s first Christmas?
Pieces that record the year: a blanket with their name and birth date, a teddy bear blanket with the year woven under the name, or a name puzzle with a message engraved on the back (up to 60 characters), such as “Baby’s first Christmas 2026”.
What size sweater should I order?
The size they will wear on Christmas Day, not today. The name sweater comes in 0–3M through 5T; the size chart on the product page gives the chest width laid flat (12¼″ to 19¼″). If they are between sizes, size up.
How can we make baby’s first Christmas special?
Start traditions you can repeat: hang a stocking with their name next to yours, take a photo each year in a name sweater or matching family beanies, and keep one dated keepsake, such as a blanket or puzzle with the year on it.
When do I need to order for Christmas?
By Sunday 22 November for delivery to the UK before Christmas. Every piece is made to order in 3–5 business days and checked by hand, then ships free with tracking in 7–15 business days.
Are the hats and blankets safe for sleep?
No. Use them while baby is awake and supervised, and take the hat off for sleep. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping blankets out of a baby’s sleep space for the first 12 months. The wooden puzzles are for 12 months and up, with an adult nearby.
Everything here is made to order after you personalize it, in 3–5 business days, and checked by hand against your order before it ships. Shipping to the UK is free and tracked, and takes 7–15 business days once your order is on its way; add a gift-ready box and it arrives ready to give. If we get your personalization wrong, or it arrives damaged, we remake it free. See Shipping and Returns & remakes, or read the FAQ.
