Who we are
This policy explains how iMade4U (“we”, “us”), operated by Cloudtop International Limited, collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit imade4u.com, buy from us or contact us (together, the “Services”).
Cloudtop International Limited is the data controller of your personal information. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, shipping and billing address, phone number and email.
- Order information: what you buy, your personalization choices and payment confirmation.
- Personalization content: the text you enter and the photos you upload to personalize an item.
- Account information: login and security details, if you create an account.
- Support information: whatever you include when you contact us.
Payments are handled by our payment processors; we don’t see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we and the partners we work with collect usage data with cookies, pixels and similar technologies: device and browser information, network connection, IP address, and how you interact with our site and emails.
Information from third parties
We receive information from companies that help run our store (such as Shopify), from our payment processors, and from advertising and analytics partners.
Your photos and personalization
Photos and text you upload are used strictly to make and deliver your order. We never share, sell or use your personal photos in marketing without your explicit consent. Uploaded photos are deleted from our production servers 30 days after your order is completed.
How we use your information
- To provide our products and services: process payments, make and ship your order, send order and shipping updates, handle remakes and returns, and manage your account.
- Marketing and advertising: send the emails and text messages you’ve signed up for, and show you relevant ads on our site and elsewhere. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email, or by replying STOP to a text.
- Security and fraud prevention: detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Support and improvement: answer your questions and improve the Services.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests (running and securing our store, and marketing our products) and, where required, your consent.
How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers working on our behalf: Shopify (our store platform), payment processors such as Shopify Payments and PayPal, our production partners, shipping carriers, and email, analytics and customer support tools.
- Advertising and marketing partners such as Meta (Facebook) and Google, through cookies and pixels, to show you relevant ads.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect our rights and our customers.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale or similar transaction.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We don’t sell your personal information to data brokers for money. Under some US state laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), sharing data with advertising partners through cookies can count as a “sale” or “sharing”. In the past 12 months we have shared identifiers (such as name, email and phone number), commercial information (such as purchase records) and usage data with business and marketing partners for advertising. You can opt out on our Do not sell or share my personal information page.
We don’t use or disclose sensitive personal information without your consent, and we don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Cookies and Global Privacy Control
We use cookies to run the store (for example, to keep your cart), remember your preferences, understand how the site is used and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may stop working.
Our website recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for that browser and device. We don’t respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access: know what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it.
- Delete: ask us to delete your personal information.
- Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Portability: receive a copy of your information, or have it sent to someone else.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, or of targeted advertising.
- Restrict how we process your information.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Appeal our decision if we decline your request, by replying to that decision.
To use any of these rights, email hello@imade4u.com. We verify your identity before we respond, and you may use an authorized agent (we’ll ask them to show your written permission). We will never discriminate against you for using your rights.
You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time; we’ll still send you messages about your orders and account.
Children’s data
The Services are not intended for children, and we don’t knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security and retention
Our site uses SSL encryption, and checkout runs on Shopify, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. No security measure is perfect, so please don’t send sensitive information such as card numbers by email.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide the Services, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies. Uploaded photos are deleted 30 days after your order is completed.
International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong, and our service providers and production partners work in other countries, including mainland China, where your order is made. Your information may be transferred, stored and processed outside the country where you live. For transfers out of Europe or the UK, we rely on recognized safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Third-party websites
Our site links to websites we don’t control, such as our parcel-tracking partner. Their own privacy policies and terms apply.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle your information, please contact us first. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can appeal by replying to our decision, or complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
